Chloe & Rupert at York House

“Claire-a huuuuge thank you for being so amazing on Saturday! I particularly appreciated your calmness post car crash (what are the chances haha) and you made us feel at ease, commented by Rupert who famously ‘doesn’t like pictures’ so that’s a huge compliment in itself! Thank you again you were fab and a true professional!!”

A York House wedding

York House in Twickenham is such a stunning venue to get married in. At first it feels like you’re not in London, but then with The Thames running along the back of it you’re swiftly reminded. Chloe and Rupert had chosen this as the place to do their ‘legal bit’ before heading off to get married in a French Chateau.

An unexpected start to the day

On the way to the ceremony Chloe and her family were in a minor car accident. In everyday life this is bad enough, but on your wedding day it really is something else! When they all arrived they were a bit shaken by what had happened, but all determined to leave it in the morning and focus on their day ahead. They were absolutely incredible and if I hadn’t been aware I never would have known. So many unexpected things can happen on the day of a wedding and it can sometimes come down to mind over matter to try and leave them to one side. These guys absolutely nailed it.

An intimate ceremony

Chloe and Rupert’s ceremony was full of laughter and so much love. Siblings and parents did readings whilst their soundtrack played throughout giving me an insight into them as a couple. After the ceremony their guests showered them with confetti before the congratulations hugs came in thick and fast.

Photographs in the grounds

As registry offices go, York House is stunning. The House itself is beautiful but when you step out into the gardens it is stunning. We had a small number of group shots with their guests before going on a walk just eh three of us. The variety of scenery in such a relatively small place is amazing. Chloe and Rupert told me ahead of time that they weren’t that confident in front of a camera but you could see that they were just so excited from having just got married. The sun shone for us and we had a relaxed 15 minute walk around the grounds capturing them.

Thank you for having me there with you on your intimate ceremony. You were all so warm and welcoming to me and it was such a pleasure to be there with you all. e forgetting your wedding day in a hurry!
