Molly & Rob at Orleans House Gallery

What can we say, Claire was just AMAZING! Throughout the whole process she was fantastic at supporting us through our wedding. Our first call with Claire was relaxed, light hearted and energetic, Claire just knew and understood the vibe we were going for. Over the year of planning Claire kept in touch and then on the day Claire was just a DREAM and made everything so easy! Claire made everyone feel totally at ease throughout the whole day. We didn’t want to classic ‘line up’ shots and boy Claire didn’t disappoint, she got us some total crackers! We would 100% work with Claire again and recommend her to everyone, she was totally fantastic!

The initial chat

The whole point of a pre call/chemistry call-whatever you would like to call it, it to make sure that you and the couple get on. My first call was with Molly and I vividly remember sitting there thinking, well this is just like chatting to a friend. She was bubbly, energetic, friendly and just so easy to chat to. Molly told me that they wanted to capture their day with zero fuss and in a natural way, absolute music to my ears.

The most perfect Spring venue.

Molly and Rob’s wedding was everything you would want for a Spring time wedding. Set against the stunning backdrop of Orleans House Gallery, the sun was shining, it was warm but not hot and the flowers were in bloom. It was quite literally a perfect day. As the guests all arrived on the route master together the energy instantly lifted and you could just tell what a great group of guests it was, they definitely had brought the energy! I was instantly welcomed into the fold.

An intimate ceremony at Orleans House Gallery

As Molly entered the room, led in by her Dad there were tears and sniffs everywhere. Her youngest brother completely broke down watching his sister walk down the aisle and it was just the most touching sight. Friends were in floods of tears and all of the emotion, along with Molly and Rob’s nerves brought out all of the laughter. It’s funny how weddings can do that. What followed was a beautiful blend of heartfelt words delivered by friends and family, a lot of love filled glances and nerve fuelled mistakes which resulted with roars of laughter. Myself included.

Portraits in the Cow Parsley

After the ceremony we did some quick group shots followed by couple’s portraits. The grounds were covered in Cow Parsley and it made the perfect backdrop to take Molly and Rob for a walk and capture some shots of the two of them. I could see them relax and enjoying the downtime just the two of them. As asked, we captured natural shots of the two of them enjoying time together, with the odd more tradition shots thrown in for good measure. They completely trusted me and just followed my lead. Never underestimate how much this means to a photographer.

Route master through London.

This might sound a bizarre thing to say; but I love it when I get to walk to locations with guests. I love capturing motion and it’s always so much fun running between everyone when they’re unaware of you. Documenting little stories as I go. We all made our way to the London Route Master and climbed on board to take us to the reception. With a glass of fizz in hand the guests were just in incredible spirits and it was just a boat load, or a bus load, of fun!

A reception at home.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued in the most intimate and heartfelt of ways—at Molly’s parents’ house. They wanted a relaxed celebration, one that felt warm and welcoming, and it was clear they had achieved just that. The garden had been transformed into the most stunning reception space, with fairy lights twinkling overhead and long tables with gorgeous blooms that matched the spring theme. It was so unique.

The very best kind of people

Molly and Rob, along with their family and friends, really are the very best kind of people. From our initial call through to when I said my goodbyes I was treated as more of a guest than a supplier.  finish.

Thank you so much for trusting me to document your incredible day, thank you for welcoming me into your home and thank you Molly for all of the great food recommendation through our Instagram chats. You’re the best!

Much love, Claire x
