Documentary Wedding Photographer in Solihull, Birmingham
Hi! I’m Claire, a documentary wedding photographer based in Solihull, Birmingham. I have the best job in the world — capturing couples on one of the happiest days of their lives and turning those moments into memories they’ll look back on for years to come. It is such a privilege.
Why Choose Me as Your Wedding Photographer?
From the moment you book me, I’m on your team 100%. I pour my heart into every wedding I photograph, and I genuinely care about how I work with my couples. I take the time to get to know you both before your big day, so when the wedding arrives, it feels natural and relaxed — like I’m another guests coming to your wedding. .
Full disclosure: I get deeply invested in my work, which means you might see me wiping away a happy tear or sharing a chat with your Nan. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, so your wedding photos are authentic, emotional, and full of life.
Natural, Heartfelt Wedding Photography
I specialise in natural, documentary-style wedding photography. No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just real moments, genuine emotions, and memories that capture your day as it feels, the true spirit of your day.
Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding with just the two of you or a big celebration with 130+ guests, I focus on the moments that truly matter — laughter, tears, and all the love in between.
Let’s Capture Your Story
Your wedding day deserves to be remembered exactly as it happens. For the moments to be documented so they can be retold for years to come. With me as your Solihull wedding photographer, your photos will do just that. You can read more about my approach or browse my latest work to see if I’m the perfect fit for your wedding day.

I wasn’t always a wedding photographer.
I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am now; with a career that I love. But I didn’t always feel like that. Let me bring you up to speed…
01.
I’VE ALWAYS LOVED PHOTOGRAPHY.
I know it’s sound such a cliché, but I really have. I knew the people at our Snappy Snaps as a kid as I was always in there having my films developed. This is the first photograph that I ever took of my parents when I was 3 years old.

02.
I ENDED UP FALLING INTO THE CORPORATE WORLD.
The classic tale of feeling like you can’t follow your dreams. I ended up leaving university with a graduate role at Marks and Spencer. I originally started in stores and over 10 years worked my way up to be a Brand and Marketing Manager at their Head Office.

03.
I THOUGHT ‘SOD THIS’ AND STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS.
I fell out of love in a big way with the office environment. One day someone asked me what my dream job was, my reply was instant; “a photographer”. Their reply; “so why aren’t you doing it then?”. A few weeks later, after a particularly bad day in the office, I handed my notice in. In the infancy of my business I worked in family and property photography.

04.
WE GOT MARRIED
Our wedding photographer added so much to our day, he was more than just a supplier. I came away from our wedding day thinking that I wanted to do that for someone else. I started by doing a few small weddings for free alongside my paid work. The rest, as they say, is history. I was hooked!

05.
AND HERE I AM NOW
I’ve come a long way since starting my business in 2017, I’ve grown so much in confidence and have found my signature style in wedding photography. I feel so privileged to do what I do, I think I have the best job on the planet! In recent years I was named Regional Finalist for the South West in The Wedding Industry Awards; followed by at the end of 2024 we made the life changing decision to move our family to Solihull in the West Midlands to be closer to our families and so far we are absolutely loving it.

“When your job doesn’t feel like work, you know you’ve hit upon something pretty awesome.”
