West Midlands Wedding Photographer | Relaxed, Natural Documentary-Style Photography
Hi, I’m Claire. I’m a West Midlands wedding photographer specialising in relaxed, natural wedding photography for couples who want to enjoy their wedding day rather than feel like they’re spending it in front of a camera. I believe your photographs should reflect what your wedding actually felt like — the laughter, the conversations, the nervous excitement, the quiet moments and the people who made the day special.
Based in the West Midlands, I photograph weddings across Warwickshire, Leicestershire and beyond, creating images that feel natural, personal and true to each couple.
A relaxed approach from the moment we meet
Choosing a wedding photographer is about more than liking the photographs. It’s about finding someone you feel comfortable having around on a day that means so much. From our first conversation, my aim is to make the process feel easy. I’ll take the time to get to know you, understand what matters to you and make sure that when your wedding day arrives, having me there feels natural. Many couples tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera — and that’s completely normal. You don’t need to know how to pose or feel confident being photographed. That’s my job.
Natural wedding photography that lets you enjoy your day
My style is relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography with gentle guidance when you need it. I won’t turn your wedding into a photoshoot or ask you to spend hours away from your guests. Instead, I’ll be there to capture the moments as they naturally happen — the hugs, the laughter, the reactions and the little moments you might otherwise miss.
For couples who want to be present, not posed
The best photographs usually happen when people forget about the camera. They’re created when you’re laughing with your friends, enjoying a quiet moment together or completely caught up in what is happening around you. My job is to notice those moments and preserve them in a way that takes you straight back to how your wedding day felt. If you’re looking for a relaxed West Midlands wedding photographer who will blend into your day while capturing the moments that matter, I’d love to hear about your plans.

I wasn’t always a wedding photographer.
I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am now; with a career that I love. But I didn’t always feel like that. Let me bring you up to speed…
01.
I’VE ALWAYS LOVED PHOTOGRAPHY.
I know it’s sound such a cliché, but I really have. I knew the people at our Snappy Snaps as a kid as I was always in there having my films developed. This is the first photograph that I ever took of my parents when I was 3 years old.

02.
I ENDED UP FALLING INTO THE CORPORATE WORLD.
The classic tale of feeling like you can’t follow your dreams. I ended up leaving university with a graduate role at Marks and Spencer. I originally started in stores and over 10 years worked my way up to be a Brand and Marketing Manager at their Head Office.

03.
I THOUGHT ‘SOD THIS’ AND STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS.
I fell out of love in a big way with the office environment. One day someone asked me what my dream job was, my reply was instant; “a photographer”. Their reply; “so why aren’t you doing it then?”. A few weeks later, after a particularly bad day in the office, I handed my notice in. In the infancy of my business I worked in family and property photography.

04.
WE GOT MARRIED
Our wedding photographer added so much to our day, he was more than just a supplier. I came away from our wedding day thinking that I wanted to do that for someone else. I started by doing a few small weddings for free alongside my paid work. The rest, as they say, is history. I was hooked!

05.
AND HERE I AM NOW
I’ve come a long way since starting my business in 2017, I’ve grown so much in confidence and have found my signature style in wedding photography. I feel so privileged to do what I do, I think I have the best job on the planet! In recent years I was named Regional Finalist for the South West in The Wedding Industry Awards; followed by at the end of 2024 we made the life changing decision to move our family to Solihull in the West Midlands to be closer to our families and so far we are absolutely loving it.

“When your job doesn’t feel like work, you know you’ve hit upon something pretty awesome.”
