I wasn’t always a wedding photographer.
I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am now; with a career that I love. But I didn’t always feel like that. Let me bring you up to speed…

I’VE ALWAYS LOVED PHOTOGRAPHY.
I know it’s sound such a cliché, but I really have. I knew the people at our Snappy Snaps as a kid as I was always in there having my films developed. This is the first photograph that I ever took of my parents when I was 3 years old.

I ENDED UP FALLING INTO THE CORPORATE WORLD.
The classic tale of feeling like you can’t follow your dreams. I ended up leaving university with a graduate role at Marks and Spencer. I originally started in stores and over 10 years worked my way up to be a Brand and Marketing Manager at their Head Office.

I THOUGHT ‘SOD THIS’ AND STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS.
I fell out of love in a big way with the office environment. One day someone asked me what my dream job was, my reply was instant; “a photographer”. Their reply; “so why aren’t you doing it then?”. A few weeks later, after a particularly bad day in the office, I handed my notice in. In the infancy of my business I worked in family and property photography.

WE GOT MARRIED
Our wedding photographer added so much to our day, he was more than just a supplier. I came away from our wedding day thinking that I wanted to do that for someone else. I started by doing a few small weddings for free alongside my paid work. The rest, as they say, is history. I was hooked!

AND HERE I AM NOW
I’ve come a long way since starting my business in 2017, I’ve grown so much in confidence and have found my signature style in wedding photography. I feel so privileged to do what I do, I think I have the best job on the planet! In recent years I was named Regional Finalist for the South West in The Wedding Industry Awards; followed by at the end of 2024 we made the life changing decision to move our family to Solihull in the West Midlands to be closer to our families and so far we are absolutely loving it.

My family
There are no words for how much I love the faces in this photograph! They are everything to me.
travel
Highlights include Argentina, Peru, Tanzania, Seychelles, Laos and Australia. I was fortunate enough to go traveling for 6 months in my 20’s.
A walk in the great outdoors
There’s nothing that a walk can’t fix. I find it so good for my mental health.
A sunrise or sunset
I have been known to get up early on holiday just to sit and watch the sunrise.
Autumn
Autumn is my favourite season. I love seeing the incredible colours that nature produces.
